I’m a certified nutritionist with a deep-rooted background in culinary arts and a strong passion for holistic health. My journey started in the vibrant kitchens of five-star lodges and restaurants, where I discovered a genuine interest in understanding people’s dietary needs, especially around food allergies and intolerances.
A pivotal moment in my career was spending a week with Chef Reza Mahammad, the Spice Prince of India. This experience sparked my fascination with spices—not just for flavor, but for their medicinal and nutritional value. That curiosity led me to pursue formal studies in nutrition and holistic wellness.
I also had the pleasure of refining the artistic side of my culinary skills—particularly chocolate truffles and sugar work—under Chef Peter Gyorgyicsek, a Culinary Olympics gold medalist.
My academic path includes earning a Diploma in Nutrition with distinction from The Blackford Centre, advanced studies in nutrition at Oxford College in 2023, and I’m currently completing my Master’s in Nutrition and the Microbiome, due in 2025.
My main areas of focus are:
Food allergies and intolerances
Gut microbiota and digestive health
Parasitic infections and their impact on nutrition
In 2023, I published my first educational cookbook dedicated to wheat allergies and gluten intolerance. The book explores 16 alternative flours, their benefits and drawbacks, and includes over 150 gluten-free recipes designed to be both delicious and nourishing.
Since 2018, I’ve worked with the Western Herbal Medicine Group, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, where I gained hands-on experience integrating allergy testing with the Bioplasm NLS machine and crafting personalized nutrition plans.
In 2021, after relocating with my husband, I fulfilled a long-time dream by opening my own nutrition practice in Hammanskraal. Here, I help individuals and families embrace healthier lifestyles through customized dietary guidance.
I believe healthy eating should never be bland or boring. My guiding principles are:
“Healthy eating doesn’t mean just salads or food that tastes like cardboard.”
“Tr-eat Yourself Healthy and Overcome Your Allergies.”
“Enjoy playing with your food!”
Through my work, I strive to empower others to enjoy nourishing food that supports their well-being without sacrificing flavor or joy.
Allergies
When we examine the body holistically, we observe a cyclical pattern often associated with allergic responses. By interrupting this cycle, we can effectively begin to reduce the severity of symptoms.
Diabetes
Insulin resistance and diabetes are not merely trending topics—they represent significant and growing health concerns. Maintaining balanced blood sugar levels is essential for achieving and sustaining optimal health.
Blood Pressure
When elevated blood pressure is triggered by chronic stress and poor dietary habits, it’s important to understand the underlying causes and explore effective interventions. A holistic healing approach addresses these factors by integrating nutritional support, lifestyle modifications, and stress management techniques to promote long-term cardiovascular health and overall well-being.
Gut Bacteria
The gut microbiome serves as a foundational element in the journey toward healing. A balanced and healthy gut is closely linked to overall well-being—often summarized by the phrase, “A healthy gut equals a healthy life.” Through targeted testing for specific bacteria, viruses, molds, and helminths (parasitic worms), we can accurately identify imbalances or infections. This precision allows for more effective and efficient interventions, accelerating the healing process.
Weight Loss
Weight loss is often misunderstood and may sometimes reflect the loss of essential fluids rather than true fat reduction. Our focus is on promoting the loss of excess body fat—particularly visceral fat, which accumulates around internal organs and poses significant health risks. By addressing the root causes of fat retention and implementing evidence-based strategies, we aim to support sustainable, health-enhancing fat loss.
Children
Children are the foundation of our future, and instilling healthy lifestyle habits from an early age is essential to fostering a generation of thriving adults. For little ones managing diabetes or food allergies, we offer nutritious, child-friendly alternatives—such as healthy “sweet treats”—to ensure they feel included and supported, without compromising their well-being.
